David Fontanez has been singing as long as he can remember. From an early age he was introduced to music by his mother. From her, he learned the first guitars chords, the first worship songs. There he learned that singing was a great way to express to God how much he loved Him.
His parents ( long time Pastors) where called to served in the U.S. in the year 1992.. They came to the small town of Lake Station IN. There he got involved in different ministries of the church, serving as leader of the Kids Council, Youth Council, and later as worship leader.
He began to write songs at the age of 13. These songs were put to use when he joined the band "Linaje Escojido" ( Chosen Generation).
After serving for about 5 years in Lake Station, IN. as worship leader, God called David to Seymour, IN. In 2004 he moved down to Seymour and since he has been serving a Hispanic Ministry as the Worship Leader.
David has been married to his beautiful wife Rachel since 2001. They have 2 boys, Isaiah Anthony and Emanuel.
David believes in worship as a lifestyle not just something we do every Sunday, as part of a tradition or custom. " We must understand that worship is more than music or tradition, it's a life in total submission to God and His eternal will. We can spend our whole life trying to please God with our actions and abilities, when all He is really looking for is a submitted heart."
